5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِذَا خَرَجْتَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِكَ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ الله تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الله لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِالله اللهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا خَرَجْتُ لَهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَرَجْتُ لَهُ اللهمَّ أَوْسِعْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَأَتْمِمْ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي فِي طَاعَتِكَ وَاجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ وَتَوَفَّنِي عَلَى مِلَّتِكَ وَمِلَّةِ رَسُولِكَ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه).

Published English translation

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “When leaving out of your house say, ‘In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there are no means and no power without Allah. O Lord, I beg You for the best of that for which I have come out and I seek protection against the evil of that for which I have come out. O Lord, expand for me from Your generosity, complete for me Your bounties, apply me in Your obedience, grant me interested in what is with You and cause me to die in Your religion and the religion of Your Messenger (a.s.).’”
