Published English translation

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from Hammad, from Hariz, from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about al-Madhiy which flows all the way to one’s thigh. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not necessary for one to discontinue one’s Salah (prayer) to wash it from one’s thigh. It does not come out of the passage from which semen comes. It is only like nasal mucus.

Publisher content rights, translator attribution and structural checks, with independent publisher-page spot checks—not scholarly authentication or printed-edition collation. Historical text and scholarly reference strings may contain source errors; they are not silently corrected. No full commentary prose or inferred narrator identity is added. Muʿjam coverage, where present, is only the supplied excerpt, not the complete work.
