3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from abu Basir from who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a deceased woman as to who is most deserving to perform Salah (prayer) for her. He (the Imam) said, ‘Her husband deserves the most to perform Salah (prayer) for her.’ I then asked, ‘Is he more deserving than her father, brother or son? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he is more deserving.’”
